When David Walliams, the British children's author wrote The Boy In The Dress, few saw just how influential it became in causing children to question recent traditions when it comes to dress not least dress for boys which is something I'm acutely aware of.
Dress for us has remained very much stuck on a trousered model virtually from the seventeenth century even though for women and girls it has moved on and critically wider into areas previous deemed masculine such as trousers for women and girls as uniform options.
Hopefully attitudes will change in time across society but thankfully those in school are beginning to change from the at times open hostility to sissy gurls like me.
