A message from the operations centre

It may be 2009 but even if in my workplace the rooms I see people in have small laptop computers for looking things up for them, I'm sat here with an old school base unit, the one I've had since October 2006, a keyboard, mouse and 15 inch CRT monitor.

I do have some things such as plushies and that in the back office plus from time to time I play with children while dealing with their parents but this is where I do my age regressing in apart from my bedroom.

My computer is downstairs to help avoid any issues with overuse at night when obviously you're meant to be sleeping  and also to reduce clutter in it.

Since the issues that lead to my nervous breakdown a few years ago, outside of work I've been stepping back from full on adulthood and tend to wear more girlish clothing when regressed and playing.

The correct look for a Gurl

There are many potential looks for the sissy gurl but beyond that of the full on uniform of the adult little gurl looking every inch just like a school girl and those uniforms of the organizations of hur life as a sissy such as brownies or guides there is one look that just works.

Every sissy gurl needs to wear skirts or dresses, even many would say must for all of her nature demure good looks is wasted where her curves and skin is covered right up.

It needs to be exposed in a more suitably child-like way so the first and golden rule is:

A sissy must wear mini skirts, they may be pleated but short enough to show part of her calf and the rest of legs clearly.

You will wear pink panties, ideally frilly if with socks or white under tights.

She should wear socks either over the knee or just below for a more childish look.

Tights should only be worn if the skirt is noticeably short.

You'll wear a girls blouse and have your hair done in school girls style.

With you should be teddy bear, doll or plushie that you have with at all times just like a little gurl

Every little has his plushie even if back in the day we did not call them that that typically came from Aunts although naturally there is no reason an Uncle couldn't buy you one as for that matter could your daddy.

That's how to be a GOOD GURL.

Summer Comics

It's summer so it's summer special time again but with a twist as the Dandy's goes with it's controversial maker as Dandy Xtreme for this one and I for one don't care for how Desperate Dan has been drawn, looking mean.

A bit of a let down.

A few years ago The Beano stopped doing the Summer Specials I loved as a kid for the celebrity centric Monthly colour BeanoMAX editions that do little for me.

You might as well just make a point of having the regular weekly editions  with you when you're on your hols
That might of been from 1966 rather than 1976 but it so much more colourful and appealing to a child under fourteen (or like one like me who still mentally is under that age) compared to that DandyEXTREME.
That might be a 1967 Beano edition and by 1976 Dennis would be on the front cover but that cover sets the scene as it was the edition that you had all summer hols and with you on your family holiday at the seaside.

Isn't all of this so much more age appropriate for children's publications?

Dateline June 1986: My first CD Player and Disc

Yeah, I know that titles a bit Fischer-Price but actually this player a Toshiba XR-J9 'transportable' mains only machine actually was the first I had back in June of 1986.
You pressed the open button to place the discs on a platter and lowered the lid down causing a puck to grip the disc.
It originally had captive leads for the line out which was one volt peak rather than usual two of bigger players.
The 3.5cm headphone socket is on the front panel with a volume control.

To go with that Toshiba player I got this - the very first compact disc I ever bought - from Our Price (RIP).

It's the PolyGram pressed version with on barcode on the rear and came in a smooth sided patent pendings case.

The second disc was a UK Nimbus pressed Pet Shop Boys, Please their current album bought from John Menzies in Newcastle Under Lyme.

Kiki's Delivery Service

At the instigation of a online friend from a forum I recently bought this title in the acclaimed Studio Ghibi collection.

Adapted by Hayao Miyazaki from the Japanese childrens book by Eiko Kadono, it is about Kiki - a thirteen-year-old witch, and daughter of a witch - who is eager to leave home and spend a year working away from home. Her only talent is flying on her broomstick, but she sets off with her black cat JiJi) and finds a big city by the sea that she decides to live in.

She makes a deal with the bread store owner to work for her board in store that soon transforms into a courier service delivering anything from pies to pets. In this activity she -a polite, cheerful if naive child - encounters the rudeness and spoilt behaviour of others especially of a girl of her own age.

She encounters a boy on a bicycle who becomes her friend but undergoes a crisis of confidence losing her ability to fly. Only by looking into herself can she regains her abilities saving the boy from a Zeppelin flight that goes disastrously wrong.

What I liked about was the attention to detail in the drawings coupled with the message of triumph over adversity it presents.
