New Tchaikovsky and Delibes

When I started this series of entries, the initial idea was to get a sample of good recordings in this better than regular cd physical format to supplement my regular classical music recordings and so I might have just the odd disc by composer unless it was a piece of music that I had not already purchased.

The first time I touched upon Tchaikovsky was in November of 2017 looking at his symphonies and string works.

In 2012 Chandos Records started a new series of recordings of the full unedited ballet scores of Tchaikovsky starting with The Sleeping Beauty, then a year later to Swan Lake and finally that christmas favourite, The Nutcracker.

From the outset this was programmed to offer the best performance possible by recording for both conventional stereo and multichannel surround sound preserving the full dynamics of the score at a very high resolution.

The result is a lively 'you are there at a performance' feel with excitement, orchestral brilliance and natural acoustics captured by the Bergen Philharmonic orchestra conducted by Neeme Jarvi.

Originally they were issued as three separate issues as they came out with two double super audio discs and a 84 minute single disc for The Nutcracker but in 2017 were issued in this box set.

One thing I love about the presentation is the full original booklets are kept in the box while the discs are in card sleeves so with such a set it is easy to listen to any one ballet, referring the appropriate booklet.

There is nothing lost to buying the box and it works out about a third cheaper than buying each work separately even at discount.

This interesting selection of Tchaikovsky's delightful Serenade For Strings coupled with Bartók's Divertimento by the London Symphony Orchestra's string ensemble was recorded like most of the Lso Live discs at the Barbican, London which isn't blessed with great acoustics but on this they have managed to get a lively clear sound.

Back to Ballets and this selection of the orchestral suites from each of Delibes ballets came out last year doing full justice to the scores in a set of performances by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra with Neeme Jarvi  conducting.

I didn't have set of the suites, just the full Coppélia recording on two regular cds this was an addition to whole collection.

Picking up the pieces after the Pandemic

It has been a good few years since a part of what was a part of me really got mentioned on here, sometimes even you might of thought you were "above" it.

Much of what has been talked about is more the adult little girl/sissy little gurl side of things a kind younger child-like gurl side but elements do creep in from elsewhere at times so I might as well acknowledge this side in the whole.

The more adult side of me did get off on shorter skirts but that side had been on hold since the 2010's but I bought myself a thirteen inch mini skirt as this side of me is still about and feels like expressing hurself from time to time.

It would be daft to buy a lot but having one in your wardrobe makes a lot of sense however you might wear it, hold ups, over the knee socks or tights.
Another area has been neglected has been shoes mainly because with difficulties in walking I tend to spend most of actual outdoor time in trainers as they provide much of the support I need to avoid falling over but beyond the tyranny of pink, a pair of trainers is the same be they made "for" boys or girls.

My old flat "Ballet Pumps" were not that great for walking and being on my feet for any length of time outdoors and so it was time I bought something better  such as a T Bar shoes with wide fronts and firm soles so being out as a sissy gurl doesn't just look good but is comfortable.

Really it's that path I'm looking more at getting back to post Covid, learning to push being a sissy gurl out rather more in a way that that's in with my mainly little side and sensibilities rather than the more fetish side you see if even if there might be a situation or two where indoors I may engage with that if the opportunity arose.
There certainly can be a place for some kind of dominant for sissies going from some experiences around 2008 through 2012 as a pressure by consent to explore more of what kind of a sissy gurl you are, what you may be curious about  and taking those important first steps.

Sometimes we self censor thoughts we may feel uncomfortable in acknowledging in ourselves even to the point we just won't even just see how things go as it's really about learning about you and how to be the best sissy you are, the way it is in you.

The sort of social conditioning some of us may of experienced in early years may even make the act of putting on a pair of panties or a dress a huge deal emotionally and for some a dominant who knowing you are curious about that but refusing to try spanking you is what you need.

As things are with me I'm without a Mistress but I need to learn to spank myself when I don't act on my curiosities and explore them agreeing to make the changes that clearly best reflect the kind of sissy I am.

Just trying to deny and all of the aspects in me makes no sense cos the bottom line is: I AM A SISSY.

World Thinking Day

Sometimes there's that much 'noise' about that people ignore important things and one important thing today is it is World Thinking Day which for some of us used to be called Thinking day.

That day does tie very much into scouting, specifically GirlGuiding in the UK and the Girl Scouts in the United States being the day for all Guides and Girl Scouts to think of each other and celebrate their sisters all around the world.

Often there is a theme to the day shared around around and activities organized.

That's an example of what would be happening.

This year it happens to be Peacebuilding which in a troubled world where politicians and sometimes whole people are in conflict with each other is a good idea.

One definition of it is this:

Peacebuilding is a long-term process of encouraging people to talk, repairing relationships, and reforming institutions. For positive change to last, everyone affected by a destructive conflict has to be involved in the process of building peace. Transforming relationships is key to putting an end to violence.

It need not be about countries as often we have disagreements with our friends, the people we share space with, even our families.

Staying stuck in a situation where relationships are strained, not feeling they can trust each other isn't just bad for us, it has consequences for those around us and so working to repair those relationships matters.

That's why I'd say use part of today to think about you can do to 'be the change' and be a peacebuilder whither or not you're in scouting.

The Blazer

There are those who might of wondered just where all of this may of ended up given the original entries on the blog.

My junior school had not exactly a full school uniform but a bit more than a dress code probably because the staff were split on the issue so while we had to wear a tie and a proper formal shirt and shorts there wasn't a 'regulation'  for socks.

There was a colour for the jersey - red- which has now changed to royal blue but no approved make or supplier unlike the local day high schools or nearby prep schools.

They did not have a blazer which did result in much shirt and shorts pocket bulging but I now have a blazer from a proper uniform supplier more in spirit with the kind of uniform policies we had, a simple plain royal blue one.

You could say it's partly a homage to my junior school to be in their colours today just as much to the fact frankly I'd of loved to had worn one at the time.

Naturally my grey skirts and grey school dresses peek out from the bottom of it in prep school style aided by my skirts being as short as they were in the seventies and eighties relative to my height but I do look smart in it fitting perfectly with no ugly bulges around the lower chest and waist.

Not one thing nor the other...

By physical sex we may be male but in reality in terms of gender we are sissy gurl, neither being a boy although we may share some interests with them nor because of our more overly feminine ways a girl almost too feminine for the modern girl or even seeing ourselves as a girl trapped in a males body.

That betweeness is what needs working on in terms of acceptance and that it can come in different ways rather than trying to assign us to a gender we just aren't and never will .

That was the week that wasn't!

Here's a small update while I'm by the chromebook dressed up before I make next weeks entry up and I think I know what I'm going to do for that for once!

Unfortunately I was going for a periodic rough spot healthwise so I'm rather short on both time and energy with this weekend devoted to recovery.

Now this is coming after spending two days in to bed with the curtains drawn and flickering lights well away, to now resting with favourite music on at lowish setting as I start to recover bits of memory that got scrambled while I was unwell.

It's very likely if you saw a  gurl in her grey pinafore dress getting through glasses of chilled milk straight from the fridge it would be me!

It seems crazy in a way but appears to me that rediscovering my inner little gurl side is helping me medically recover apart from the psychological and emotional welfare benefits such as feeling more comfortable in myself.

Had we of been able in more normal times to have had stayed on schedule, nay even that of others, we'd of been been away in a fortnight making things, visiting places and playing together.

It's what I most look forward to doing every year.

That's been the one of things most felt, getting together, cos we're all parts of a jigsaw that fit together rather like the ones we made last time were near enough everyone contributed something to it.

The other side of things is had the weather of been like it was late last week we'd of been covered in layers of clothing cos it's been perishing and borderline for me walking  about having had the odd difficulty here.

I might of settled rather more for time in the kitchen, making something with a warm oven going having felt my hands go numb in the minus five temperatures early Saturday morning and I dare say probably most of us would of been in rather more than out.
