Revisiting the school girl look

While it's very likely we'll talk about something else next week as we see the month out, we'll continue with a theme that's been running across the last two months.

There was a term I remember from the late 2000's and early 2010's that was used to describe the way you transposed what you saw on a female and applied that over to you as a feminine boy, sissy gurl or "cross dresser" that gave way to a blog: Femulation

It wasn't a matter of being totally that person but taking a chunk of how they presented as much of what had gone before was more routed in club or drag scene looks and this was more about dressing more like an actual female would.

Given I've scant interest in "femulating" to be a woman not least for being in so many ways a child in a adult sized body for me it's more about feminine looks of a child.

This was from a school boys protest where Academy School Management teams show their worst management methods on a regular basis but anyway the relevant thing was that white and black tartan plaid skirt.

It just looks right whatever that boys motivation for wearing it so why not thought I emulate that in a littles context?

I wasn't looking for a mini kilt which wouldn't of been realistic in that plaid nor a woman's skirt with buttons and zip fastenings.

That was more like it a fully elastic pull-on pleated skirt that is more juvenile in its feel which you could see with a blouse or school polo shirt and either short frilly socks or longer white or grey girls ones

It's been a while since I applied some fresh thoughts presenting more as a little sissy school gurl and this just lifts things from the usual grey or green junior skirts I have experimented with in the past.

Updates continued

This week as we enter another month, the period that normally I'd of been away but between the outcome of last years events and the changed circumstances from the start of last month just isn't going to happen I did think about what I tend to wear.

Given how I am with different presentations things have to key into each as part of that wider whole than it is for many and one think I was looking for was a quality red sweatshirt that could function as an extra layer like a jumper over a pinafore dress or be worn with skirts or short trousers.

It just does the job.

This was one, basic but decently made I spotted and decided to buy being quite stretchy unlike some I have had in the past.

Return to home school for Littles

Officially  across the land thousands have returned to their daily routines, others changed buildings and some freshly started.

In England school returns and the active wear gets changed for school uniform of various sorts with the adults kicking up a fuss about it and yet isn't it easier when you just have the one thing to wear and you know your peers will too?

Back in the day feminine gurls like me would get short thrift for even saying we'd rather wear a skirt or dress to school when not being insulted and humilated by staff when we did show the slightest sign of not gender conforming.

These days through being a Little and a Gurl there's no reason I cannot wear a pinafore dress or a smart skirt based school uniform while letting that side out perhaps doing some formal study

Evolving times

Some parts from the past used to be a constant handed down ritual from homework diaries, what stuff to take with you in your bag each day and what to leave in your locker to "knowing" Fish was on the menu for school dinners on  Friday.

You also knew if you hadn't lived with a prescriptive uniform policy before high school in state run schools you certainly would at Eleven Plus transition often everything would be spelt out even to the brand or supplier.

For boys it was always long trousers from around the mid nineteen seventies and that was very much that.

In more recent years some of that sole supplier business has dropped off and a few have added tailored short trouser options while a few have dared to add skirts.

That is an example of one for sixth form boys which would of been unthinkable when I was in the sixth in the early nineteen eighties.

For most socks haven't been changed although the kind of traditional long turn over top school socks we had seem to have drifted away from mainstream uniform suppliers while girls socks the drift away from white pelerine as they transitioned to plain white or black ones followed by tights seems to have moved towards more feminine socks with bows.

Many suppliers of long socks have socks like these marketed as unisex but having more in common with those girls socks.

I think I'd be a bit more comfortable in today's world at school as a feminine schoolboy than I was way back then.

The Blazer

There are those who might of wondered just where all of this may of ended up given the original entries on the blog.

My junior school had not exactly a full school uniform but a bit more than a dress code probably because the staff were split on the issue so while we had to wear a tie and a proper formal shirt and shorts there wasn't a 'regulation'  for socks.

There was a colour for the jersey - red- which has now changed to royal blue but no approved make or supplier unlike the local day high schools or nearby prep schools.

They did not have a blazer which did result in much shirt and shorts pocket bulging but I now have a blazer from a proper uniform supplier more in spirit with the kind of uniform policies we had, a simple plain royal blue one.

You could say it's partly a homage to my junior school to be in their colours today just as much to the fact frankly I'd of loved to had worn one at the time.

Naturally my grey skirts and grey school dresses peek out from the bottom of it in prep school style aided by my skirts being as short as they were in the seventies and eighties relative to my height but I do look smart in it fitting perfectly with no ugly bulges around the lower chest and waist.

That time of year

As you read this it will be the August bank holiday which tends to mark the return of school over here and as it happens also is being marked by family fun days this weekend in churches and public houses where I live.
Not unsurprisingly in the local newspapers and some national media too we are seeing the various promotions for such things around uniforms, where in the UK the majority of schools have one, stationery and equipment.
This is a good example of the sort of advertising we have, here for the Matalan discount store with photogenic models and needless to say the cardigans, socks setc are all available from the store too.

Many of us know our sock draws intimately when I noticed a few of mine were rather bobbled and even had worn bits around the heels and that  so I needed to replace several pairs.

Being taken out to the local uniform shop in the last ten day or so of August is a ritual many of us remember well, being told we'll 'grow into' our clothes as you feel a bit like a scarecrow with everything being a bit big and baggy on you.
This lovely Panda Plush pencil case is a good example of the variety a regular stationery store such as W H Smiths over here stocks and yes things like Football one exist for boys too
A decent geometry set helps for math and science and this is an example from W H Smith although you'd need to add a compass a 2hb pencil and rubber to it plus some decent colouring pencils and ballpoint/fountain pen with ink.

Personally I'm with fountain pens as a good broad nib often improves the flow of the least good handwriting which even if this an age when digital often prevails, still is worth cultivating.

Heroes

If you were to say who really was my forever little hero it would have to Christopher who at the time was protesting the shorts ban at his school by wearing a skirt.

That kind of step isn't uncommon in British high schools who seemed to have the most rigid inflexible kind of middle management types running them that ignore what happens in the real world so skirted protests happen while people such as postal workers have a variety within the uniform.

Getting back to what this blog is really about he was more the kind of boy at that time I was and felt because for wearing a skirt which is associated with girls and women (and thus allowed!), the presentation is otherwise male.

His socks are just above the ankle ones common with boys and plain grey, there is no attempt to look like a thirteen year old girl just a boy happy to wear a skirt and to me when it just comes to presentation why not?

This isn't  transsexuality just being a boy in a skirt, although as matured in my teens I realized I was a sissy gurl and the gender roles are just a different element that match with how you see you, not anything else and their agendas.

Redux

Sometimes it can seem with this life you can easily end up a load of clothes that don't slot into the non-littles world but with a bit of care you can find ways around of this.

First off and subject to some delays with the Royal Mail is a maroon sweatshirt with a rounded top which was available from a well know ebay school wear supplier even in 'adult' sizes although it is school wear and is clearly  branded on the tab inside as such.

It can easily be worn with black or beige short trousers or a slightly more adult skirt outside of being a part of uniform with no one being the wiser.

One reason for buying was I have a few sweatshirts in need of replacement and I do wish to merge my wardrobe.
This wine coloured pleated skirt has a similar story being also from a school wear supplier but isn't so far removed from what you may wear in some working environments being supplied by work wear companies for offices except where girls may of worn knee length socks, adults generally would wear hose (Brit speak: Tights) usually with plain blouse.

Putting the two together and adding the long socks either white or grey makes for a school/college uniform for when I'm at home or away with friends.

The Pinafore dress

The first thing to say in this entry is when looking more at what a sissy gurl such as myself would of sooner worn at school the traditional pinafore dress would of been it.

At one time it would of applied to girls regardless of age but in state schools from the nineteen seventies onwards it was replaced  for seniors by the longer skirt and these days by female cut trousers too so it is seen more as a junior or combined primary school item.

It tended to hang around in private and many a prep school for a lot longer.

Most you see today are not the traditional squared boxed sort but usually scooped at the neck and often with zips rather than the traditional buttons on the shoulder.

Part of the reason it was popular is it is practical giving you good arm movement lacking the restrictions of fully armed garments and good circulation for hot sunny days while being easy to put on.

In view of the shortage of the traditional sort I had Albert Prendergast send me their black traditional one with the length reduced considerably from what seniors would of been expected to that nearer to the old junior version  fitting just above the knee  to show skin between it and my white long socks.

I did get the matching black belt and it has a side pocket.

It's a very good replacement for one I tried which I liked but was a bit small on me and it seems few are in my size from the regular schoolwear suppliers.

It also makes us look more junior  which is a plus in age regressive/dysphoric terms bringing into line mental image and the physical while having pockets which are rare on skirts.

As a jane girl you always wear gym knickers under your dress keeping you boy bits out of harms way and comfortable.

Modern uniform options

Uniform can sometimes result in quite impassioned debate from those who believe people not least children have a right to individual expression in all settings  to those who feel it can result in less favourable outcomes because it restricts opportunities.

Traditionalists  often feel a uniform policy that goes back to at least the early decades of the twentieth century is about holding true to something they feel hasn't been in the main found wanting and attempts to simplify only hold back from the skills required for adult presentation such as fastening ties, shoes and how to wear a suit properly.

There is one area I would hold with not least at infant and primary levels with some which is skirts do not lend themselves to free play which happens at playtimes and at home when with friends because a wearer, traditionally a girl is forever worried about flashing their underwear accidentally to the point it reduces their physical activity in the playground.

The same applies with sissiesbut brought up as boys who may be more feminine that would prefer not to wear trousers or short trousers as again a good number love play and that would result in teasing.

In recent years the retailer Marks and Spencers ("M&S") have introduced a school skort into their range of off the shelve uniform which does look more like a skirt to the point of having a traditional back unlike the more shorts like basic of earlier examples.

That looks more like a skirt at first glance and does work well with polo tops which in the last two decades more primary schools have moved towards.

As can be seen here, there is a built in mesh undershort which ensures no underwear will be shown however you play, climbing on climbing frames, crawling on the ground or just going to pick up a pencil.

To me that really would make far more sense as a uniform option which is feminine that girls and sissy gurls would feel more comfortable in at an age play is spontaneous and their is a need to encourage them to be active.

Towards a Little Sissy School Gurl look

Sometimes  you come back with things you didn't expect and this was one

Way back in late June last year I did get a dark blue gingham school summer dress that I quite liked not least for how Junior it made me feel, which as far as I'm concerned is quite a good  thing and I had been thinking about something in a more classic pink.

Having a few things come Sunday reminded this one with two pleats at the front I like - I'm big on pleats - that caught my eye from a friend which having put it against me, seemed to be just perfect so I paid her for it in notes of the Bank of Purrland.

One thing I have been working upon is my Little Sissy Gurl presentation for when I am with other Little Girls that are either Genetic Girls or more T Gurls who do little girl rather than approximating being a Woman.

These long knee high traditional "Poppy" motif pereline white socks are really more what a sissy gurl like me should be wearing with a dress like this complete with frilly white satin panties to really push the feminine side out rather than say traditional school "regulation" girls gym knickers to give it a more "sissy" edge.

A few addictions...

I've from time to time looked a bit more at presentation in the form of uniform and how that's changed and how that is a part of my life.

There are other parts of it too which have changed over the years, socks being oddly enough one of the first manifestations from buying school socks from the schools department of British Home Stores  every term usually grey from the late 1980's before moving gradually toward an exact replica uniformed presentation via 'Senior school' or 'Secretarial' wear.

Sometimes I have bought patterned socks like Harlequin ones in different plaid colours before moving more into that exact replica uniform by wearing actual school socks with it such as these Grey ones.

These are some I recently got although I usually wear white one of the same sort of design
except the bow would be a matching white.

The other thing that goes with it is underwear which has changed a bit over the years from all white around 2010 to grey or bottle green full school briefs when the original replica uniform came about.
Now it is to go with the newer uniformed presentation I'm to be wearing mainly black high waisted Carta Gym Knickers which apart from being good for sports do keep me warm and cozy which is good thing at this time of year.

These arrived a few days ago and are to be worn from now on.

School dress from past decades for sissy gurls

This week I had new Summer Dress

It's nice soft and very comfortable and is very much a part of me really and while in the UK you'd associate it more with rising 5 through 11+ schoolgirls in some countries such as Australia you'll see similar dresses wear in high school no doubt with an eye to those hot humid conditions so I could wear this around my 'presenting age'.

Girls clothes especially school wear from the past have  always fascinated me.

This is very much 1950's, before I was born, familiar to anyone who read the school based stories popular from that era whose illustrations would be like this such as pre 1970's Enid Blyton.

The simplicity of it is what strikes me with just a blazer over the tunic (Gymslip for Brits) although unlike for most establishments a tie is missing.

What I normally wear as a little sissy gurl is very much the modern version and targeted more toward Infant and Juniors reflecting the changed attitude toward senior uniform being blouse/formal skirt although pants are increasing in popularity for girls.

Things from the past

That's cool. I mean it's sunny of not exactly warm today as I was out walking around locally, taking in the smell of the farms, seeing the lambs in the fields grazing and even watching with amazing a flock of over forty birds take of in a 'W' formation from a field near the woods circling just above me. They were all occupying the field ready for it.
Isn't nature just so awesome?

I just so loved watching it patiently as a child usually as we walked to school along the sidewalks and farmers fields unless we were fortunate to get a lift with one of them taking their daughters to school in his car with mud covered tires.

That's the tie I had on when I was with some friends, a silk deadringer for the one I had at Junior school where we kinda had to wear it.
The photo didn't quite do full justice to the badge - and two schools I attended we did have prefects and house systems -  so here's one of it in its shield design.

Some schools use either rectangular or rounded badges to denote such earned status.

Did I ever say I did on a few occasions I got mentioned in 'Special Mentions'  on Friday weekly assemblies and given a badge to wear on top of my uniform connected with it?

Because students deserve the best..however they present

This is almost right,  I mean something you are going to wear for some seven and a half hours a day in all weathers needs to be comfortable and leave you feeling you really look the smartest you can to reflect your confidence.

This isn't super expensive but has all around box pleats that stay put and the polyester doesn't wrinkle under you was you are sat at the desk.

It is a good length too so it looks modest being at knee length.

Some schools do official list skirts, skorts and dresses in either as options within the boys uniform or just as options for all with very little gender based variations while others leave to you to start negotiations on behalf of your child

I just they should of shot a second picture of a boy in that skirt and featured it in the promotional material as skirts ARE an option for boys and sissies.

Basking in the glow of reality

It's been a funny month with the weather although I went out quite a bit exploring and taking a few pictures for posterity and since this blog has started I have made a few entries over the year about how being a feminine gurl on the inside shows in how I dress and my interests.

Here in the Autumn with the soft warm glow I'm out in a garden dressed in a junior school jumper under which there is a polo shirt, gym knickers, white girls over the knee socks and pleated grey junior school skirt and finally slip on shoes.

I'm still working through the legacy issues as they affect scouting and me not least for Cubbery being the route I could of taken back then but longing for something a bit less masculine in it's form not least uniform as I just feel some much better in skirts.

I feel every inch a jane girl now.

Twists on looks

 Continuing the posts about looks

I have been know to wear tights both at work and at hometime but somehow wearing this sort of skirt  looks that bit more cute with socks so I did some investigations both online, in real life carefully observing what choices girls made and also seeing what my local market had as I live just outside a market town and often the local knicker man has stuff cheap.

The conclusion I came to was wearing long sock either just to knee height to over the knee worked best and as it happened they were really easy to find.

These over the knee socks actually match the charcoal grey of the skirt really well and wear together instantly transform me to a school girl

I have quite a few white and black and white over the knee socks as it was so I added these pastel pink ones with a embossed heart design being so quintessentially girlish as well as a similar white pair.

Note how this takes us back to the image I posted a long while back about how I saw myself as a child? The grey skirt, candy colour long socks and that are all there and when you chat with me then that's the LSG schoolgirl I resemble.
Amazing isn't it?

School Uniform and skirt length

This time of year certain British stores tend to be busy such as BHS, Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and that very British institution, the school uniform shop  because after next week Autumn term starts at most schools and this brings with it last minute uniform replacements and checking everything fits.

We always had are skirt lengths measured so they were not too short as that would break school rules and reflect badly upon our folks. It may of seemed awkward but I'm they cared to ensure we were decent and properly presentable.

Boys do look pretty good in kilts as the boys in this co-ed school in Scotland who have the kilt as part of the school uniform.

Perhaps this should be an option elsewhere in the UK?

Emulations

Wearing 'girls' school uniform as a age dysphoric feminine sissy gurl

I'm age dysphoric, that's a fact so why shouldn't part of my gender variant expression go back in time to how it was?

A 101 of feminine school uniform for feminine boys like me to emulate in modern still a school child life based on the girls uniforms we loved at the time is a good start point in being us for the best reason.

We feel better to give free expression of the idea of us in our heads

Over the knee socks for the short skirted look

One unavoidable fact of life for me in my ' Feminine Little Sissy' side is the fascination in maintaining the look I adored as a a child, that of the short above the knee skirt with long socks that are often either colour or striking in design.

In many respects it's fortunate for me that at least a part of this aspect has become more mainstream so not only can I buy these cute girlish over the knee socks fairly easily but others are doing so to so there's less eye batting or outright ridicule as there used to be.

I just love these Grey and dusty Pink over the knee socks as they're so cute.

Available from the Sexy Minx ebay store and good local stockists.

Skirts for little sissy gurls

Skirts for janegirls or sissies should really match the type of setting you would be in such as formal or school based settings I think a simple plain grey or green skirt works because it isn't "busy" attracting attention but is sufficiently modest coming just above the knee.

Skirts allow you to show your gait when walking, learning to walk crossing your legs showing an element of softness you like while being more comfortable than close fitting trousers and you'll soon learn to keep knees together while sat.

They deserve to be teamed up with socks which easily go with them such as these from Albert Prendergast

Although the boys range, for one thing prep school girls did wear them and there's no reason not to wear something smart and practical
