The Pinafore dress

The first thing to say in this entry is when looking more at what a sissy gurl such as myself would of sooner worn at school the traditional pinafore dress would of been it.

At one time it would of applied to girls regardless of age but in state schools from the nineteen seventies onwards it was replaced  for seniors by the longer skirt and these days by female cut trousers too so it is seen more as a junior or combined primary school item.

It tended to hang around in private and many a prep school for a lot longer.

Most you see today are not the traditional squared boxed sort but usually scooped at the neck and often with zips rather than the traditional buttons on the shoulder.

Part of the reason it was popular is it is practical giving you good arm movement lacking the restrictions of fully armed garments and good circulation for hot sunny days while being easy to put on.

In view of the shortage of the traditional sort I had Albert Prendergast send me their black traditional one with the length reduced considerably from what seniors would of been expected to that nearer to the old junior version  fitting just above the knee  to show skin between it and my white long socks.

I did get the matching black belt and it has a side pocket.

It's a very good replacement for one I tried which I liked but was a bit small on me and it seems few are in my size from the regular schoolwear suppliers.

It also makes us look more junior  which is a plus in age regressive/dysphoric terms bringing into line mental image and the physical while having pockets which are rare on skirts.

As a jane girl you always wear gym knickers under your dress keeping you boy bits out of harms way and comfortable.

Underwear

At one level to be a Jane Boy or sissy gurl is to be a atamically a boy in a dress or skirt keeping your male biological self but allowing your feminine emotions and feelings expression by not dressing as a boy but if you have some fluidity as I do to the point you may wear short trousers aimed at boys you may wonder where does it all go.

For me a big step between literally wrapping a skirt around any odd boy and being a jane boy or gurl is in what ordinarily you wouldn't see.

You wear gym knickers designed to be modest that do under emphasis your boy bits under a skirt and even under your shorts which means you you have pull them and you knickers down at the loo.

The fact we are wearing them at all sets us apart, for some people being given and told to wear them is in their fantasy for some of us it is what we'd wear anyway as they are more comfortable but also more durable than regular girls underwear which while being nice and soft, doesn't last long.

Socks may be girls pereline or similar but less "fussy" grey socks beloved of junior schools before the silly big girls in high school must wear tights stuff breaks out or even the same socks that prep schools might wear as girls in co-ed prep schools often do that so in skirts we do too.

They do match our skirts well and are warm for Winter months.

Away day schooling

It's a bit of a while since I wrote anything around the re-creation of schooling a form of words I'm now a bit more for as "school based role play" for me implies in part I am role playing the child at school and with me this whole whole thing is more like I have that child running 24/7 in me.

Effectively you've created a school with all the things I recall of my education that I just attend.

One of the things I did involved having a math  lesson taught to me by a person being  a teacher doing what was called "chalk and talk" where they would talk away but write important concepts and any questions on the chalkboard for you to do.

For my part I was dressed in a traditional black tunic (Brit speak: "Gymslip") with tie and school socks as they prefer me in feminine boy attire at a equally traditional wooden desk with a  hole for in, grooves for your pens and a lift up slightly sloped lid that before flat "Go-Pak" stacking school furniture such as tables became popular you had together with matching wooden chairs with an S shape bottom.

Like most I was taught metric units as my home country went metric during this period  although for somethings imperial never went away like road distances and part of this lesson covered an introduction to Imperial weights and measures that I had to sit and write down from the chalkboard including the questions set on each unit.

This covered ounces, pounds, stones, hundred-weights  and tones when it came to Mass, inches, feet, yards, cubits, chains and miles in linear measurement.

I also had set some multiplication and division work too that I had to copy, answering all the questions.

The work from the point of view of presentation, neatness of writing and showing of workings out was examined in addition to marking the answers to questions set and my attitude toward studying.

My work was then written on in red pen.

Overall I hadn't done too badly but I had made a few mistakes down to not being as careful as I should of been as when asked to show how I got the answer where I had made mistakes, I did get it right first time so it wasn't a question of not knowing or comprehending.

Because it was that and nothing to do with my actual learning limitations which are NEVER a reason to, I was instructed to bend over the desk at each unit where this had occurred to be spanked either by hand with a slipper or for one which was more around not paying sufficient attention to the work, the tawse.

This needless to say did hurt persisting for some time but to be honest, it is what lead to it that really is more the problem: I don't take the care I could to produce work that limitations aside I am actually capable of, that reflect my abilities rather than my disabilities.

In that sense what might in the past of been called "school based role playing" has real benefits in helping to change because it identifies in real-life situations those attitudes and behaviours that need correcting and delivers the lessons that in all honesty people who were less centred around the dis in my disabilities excusing me and more on abilities and training me to use them properly in same way my peers were really should of done.

For me then this bit of the weekend away was really beneficial.

The looks of a little sissy gurl like me

If there ever was any real doubt at all over where I was coming from I think a lot of the posts I made around fashion probably would show it more because with some of compromises I felt were necessary they still very much "Tammy Girl" or the younger side of Top Shop than anything for people outside of their 20's.

This sort of thing is so me beyond talk of 'play clothes' or uniform liking knee or especially over the knee socks shorter more rounded skirts and relatively plain  but with some edge of fabric detail tops with longish sleeves as I don't feel super comfortable showing my shoulders and arms off.

Sissy gurls like me always wear girls exercise kit for games and p.e such as a traditional pleated wrap around games skirt .

Underneath we wear traditional matching girls gym knickers to go with our games skirt or skorts.

This is what I wear when I play sports with my friends.

A few addictions...

I've from time to time looked a bit more at presentation in the form of uniform and how that's changed and how that is a part of my life.

There are other parts of it too which have changed over the years, socks being oddly enough one of the first manifestations from buying school socks from the schools department of British Home Stores  every term usually grey from the late 1980's before moving gradually toward an exact replica uniformed presentation via 'Senior school' or 'Secretarial' wear.

Sometimes I have bought patterned socks like Harlequin ones in different plaid colours before moving more into that exact replica uniform by wearing actual school socks with it such as these Grey ones.

These are some I recently got although I usually wear white one of the same sort of design
except the bow would be a matching white.

The other thing that goes with it is underwear which has changed a bit over the years from all white around 2010 to grey or bottle green full school briefs when the original replica uniform came about.
Now it is to go with the newer uniformed presentation I'm to be wearing mainly black high waisted Carta Gym Knickers which apart from being good for sports do keep me warm and cozy which is good thing at this time of year.

These arrived a few days ago and are to be worn from now on.
